Introducing the Power Lite Series
May 3, 2020
UZ NEWS: UZ Energy has just launched the brand new Power Lite Series. A safe and scalable LFP battery solution that matches with 48V inverters.
In the standard configuration, the compact single unit measures 3U in height. There is also the option of a vertical configuration.
The innovative design allows for multi-parallel configurations in up to 16 units. Soon, this will be extended to 32 units.
The flexible and scalable solution is suitable for a wide range of application scenarios such as:
- Residential energy storage
- Off-grid energy storage
- Micro-grid applications
- UPS power supply

Powered by CATL
UZ Energy is the official system integrator of Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL). Specializing in energy storage for Electrical Vehicles and industrial energy storage, CATL’s list of client partners include tier-1 customers such as BMW, Volkswagen, Tesla, and Powin. Both companies bring safety and reliability to their products while maintaining top electrical performance for years.
The stated 10-year life span is not just a paper commitment but a solid guarantee endorsed by the advanced battery technique internally. Inside the Power Lite, 16 pieces of CATL 100 Ah Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries are assembled, giving nominal energy of 5.12 kWh. While this is validated by a battery tester, the usable energy on the AC side will vary when coupled with different inverter brands and nominal voltage at 51.2 V.
With the in-house developed battery management system (BMS), Power Lite can be used either in a single unit or multiple-parallel configuration up to 16 units (32 units will soon be introduced). This allows the end-user to scale to 80 kWh or even 160 kWh using a very handy cabling connection.
Great compatibility
Power Lite is compatible with major inverter brands including Victron, Goodwe, Growatt, with more brands being added to the list in the near future. Power Lite complies with global standards and has acquired IEC 62619/IEC 61000/UN 38.3 certificates.
Safety standards, reliability, and a long life span are vital issues when it comes to choosing the right battery technology. As are energy density and other factors.
The CATL 100 Ah LFP battery is designed on the philosophy of safety and reliability. It is based on proven technologies that have already been employed in several large-scale projects (up to a few hundred MWh), operated successfully over long periods by UZ Energy and CATL.
Hence, it is a clear view of both companies that LFP batteries should always be the first choice over Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt oxide (NCM) batteries in energy storage systems.
Additionally, the superior thermal design of the single-cell allows Power Lite to run at nominal 50 A (0.5 C) or even larger current (i.e. 70 A, consultant with UZ Energy engineers) without leading an elevation in temperature, which is crucial for long life-span reliability. It should be noted that the CATL 100 Ah has a certificate of IEC 62619/UL 1642/JET, making it approved for use the EU, North America, and Japan.
